How to Use mAadhaar Application – A Detailed Guide for Android Users

Download and Install the mAadhaar App from Google Play

To download the mAadhaar app, go to Google Play and download the app.

Launch the mAadhaar App and Register your Aadhaar Card

Once you have launched the App, make sure your Register your Aadhaar card in the app. To do this it would require you to enter your 12 Digit Aadhaar card number and verify your details through OTP

 

Set a Pin to Operate to secure the mAadhaar App

The application will allow you the option to secure the app with the help of 4 digit Pin. Once set it would be required to accessing certain functions on the app and can help prevent misuse of the application in the event your phone is lost or stolen.

 

Key Services Offered in the mAadhaar App

The main screen of the mAadhaar App offers several key options for a user under the All Services tab. These include options like Download Aadhaar, Retrieve EID/UID, options to verify your mobile number or email id, facility to update your Aadhaar card details etc. It has 3 key sections namely Aadhaar Services Dashboard, My Aadhaar Section and Enrolment center.

Download your Aadhaar Card in mAadhaar application

To download the Aadhaar card in your application, click on the Download Aadhaar option present on the top left corner of the screen in the All Services tab.

Next you will be greeted with a screen that would ask your Preference for the Aadhaar Card format you wish to download. Either you can opt to download a Regular Aadhaar Card or choose to download a Masked Aadhaar card



Note: Some people prefer to download a masked version of the card if it is needs to be shared. We strongly advise for sharing of masked version only as it goes a long way in safeguarding your privacy.

 

mAadhaar Design and Ease of Use

 

The application sports a minimalistic design and app works perfectly well. The icons are well designed and sufficient width is kept between them. Overall the look and feel of the app is quite acceptable and user friendly. One must note that the app is available in 12 languages which helps in making it useable for vernacular audience.

Technical Parameters

The mAadhaar app (version 3.0.0) is relatively light and it does not occupy too much storage space. You can wish to give an Autostart permission to the app but it is not really needed. While we do suggest you allow Notifications as it will keep you abreast of any news and updates. Overall the performance of the app is satisfactory it does not hang up nor is it resource hungry.
