With new updates on Aadhaar card linking with multiple services coming up every day, there are few services that are left to be linked. After making Aadhaar card linking mandatory with bank accounts and mobile numbers, you might have to link it with PAN Cards, PPF, NSC and more.
Given below are all the important deadlines for Aadhaar card inking that you need to keep in mind for ensuring that you do not miss out on any of these.
Aadhaar and Bank Account
Banks have time till 31st December only to make sure that the bank accounts of all the customers are linked with their Aadhar numbers. Bank Aadhaar Kendras are also being set up to make the process easy.
Aadhaar and PAN card Linking
The deadline for linking these two is also till the 31st of December. So if you are a PAN card holder, make sure you follow the deadline and get the two linked.
Aadhaar and PPF, KVP, NSC, and Post Office linking
All deposits done through Post Office will now require you to first link your Aadhaar card. The existing depositors only have time till the 31st December 2017 for adding the UID number.
Social Schemes
135 free social schemes like the free LPG cylinder, fuel subsidy, PDS, MGNREGA, etc can be availed if you provide your Aadhaar number to the government till the 31st of December.
Mobile SIM
For linking your aadhar number with mobile number you have time till the 6th of February 2018. You can opt for OTP based authentication, or doorstep verification of the user to make the process easy for them.
Mutual Fund
You need to link all your mutual fund folios with your aadhaar card number latest by 31st dec 2017, if you do not want them to be frozen.
There is a chance that government may extend some of the deadlines. However it is better go in for early linking.
