To check Aadhar
Card Status users need to open the official website of UIDAI and navigate to Aadhaar
enrolment section where they need to click Aadhar Card Status check. User will
be redirected to another window where they need to fill up the details. The
page will ask the 14 digit unique number i.e. enrolment ID and date and time of
enrolment in the format dd/nn/yyyy hh: mm: ss. Together they form a 28 digit
number EID number which users are required to fill. Both of these details can
be found on the enrolment slip which users get at the time of aadhar enrolment.
After entering
EID number users can fill the security code and click on Aadhar Card Status
Check. If all of the information is correct the page will display the Aadhar
Card Status. Users are advised to check each and every detail that is mentioned
and in case of misspelling or error, apply for online updation of aadhar card.
The users
however face problems in checking their Aadhar Card Status online as some of them
either lost their enrolment slips or misplaced them. They can still check the Aadhar
Card Status by entering aadhar number and requesting an OTP for confirmation. There
is an option on UIDAI web portal, ‘Retrieve your Enrolment ID or Aadhaar’,
which displays the EID number of users after confirming aadhar number through
OTP.
Users can also
perform aadhar Card Status check through offline ways. Users can send a SMS to
the number 51969 along with their 14 digit enrolment number from their registered
number. There is also a toll free number provided by UIDAI which is
1800-300-1947 and if the users have all the details regarding aadhar card, they
can easily check their aadhar Card Status merely by a phone call.
