How to perform Aadhar Card Check?


Aadhar has become one of the most crucial identifications in our country and it’s recommended to every card holder that they should be aware of all the facilities and feature of aadhar card. Users can now link their PAN cards, Voted IDs, mobile numbers, etc with Aadhar cards. Aadhar is a huge initiative by Indian Government and citizens should avail all the benefits from Aadhar card.
It is important to perform aadhar card check to know its status. In some case, Aadhar becomes inactive if the user doesn’t link it with any other account or card or if it’s not used in any other services for more than 36 months. The procedure to perform Aadhar Card check is very easy.

Aadhar is issued by UIDAI which stands for Unique Identification Authority of India and on its web portal; they have provided each and every information regarding aadhar. Aadhar card holders can Aadhar card check, update aadhar details, download aadhar on phone, verify aadhar number, verify email/mobile number, etc using the UIDAI web portal.

To avoid problems and issues with Aadhar Number, users should check its status. If it’s inactive, they should immediately contact the authorities. It is also possible that once you check the aadhar card status, it shows active but some of your details and wrongly enlisted. In such cases, you can apply for online as well as offline update and correction of your details.

  • Users have to first navigate to the official web portal of UIDAI. Under the Aadhar enrolment tab, there is an option Check Aadhar Status. Users can click the link and a new window will appear.
  • The new window will demand a few of your Aadhar details which you should fill in the boxes provided below on the page. To do Aadhar card check, the user will require 28 digit Enrolment ID comprising of his/her EID and Date/Time of the enrolment along with a randomly generated security code.
  • Once the user enters the Enrolment ID and security code, they can click on Aadhar card check or Check status. The site will display the status.
  • It’s often observed that users face difficulty in entering EID as some of them misplace the enrolment slip which contains the details. UIDAI has another feature through which users can retrieve their lost EID/UID but that will require their registered mobile number because verification will be done through OTP number. So that’s how a user can perform Aadhar card check.
