Now, Use Aadhar App for Airport Entry
As per the new rules implemented by UIDAI and Indian
government, m-Aadhar (aadhar app) will be considered as a valid
identity proof for entering the airport, while the minor will be allowed to
enter the airport without any ID proof provided they are accompanied by their
parents.
Passengers, entering the airport need to carry any
one of the ten governments authorized identity documents which are listed under
the rules and regulations implemented by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
This list includes PAN Card, Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport and
Aadhar Card. And now m-Aadhar (aadhar app) has been included in that list.
Aadhar app has already exceeded over 17 thousand downloads, and the government wants to ensure that more and more users are using aadhar app as a ID proof. The use of aadhar app can help in reducing the paper consumption in the country, as users don't have to carry a photocopy of their ID proof in their bags as it will be available in their mobile phones at all time.
The Government seems to be popularizing aadhar app,
encouraging users to use digital ways to carry an aadhar card instead of carry
documents. Recently aadhar app was also added in the list of valid identity
proofs which can be used in the railway department, while boarding the train.
