In a recent tweet tweeted by Electronics and IT Union Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, it has been reported that Indian citizens have made over 10 lakh M-Aadhaar downloads in a span of just 2 months, making it one of the most popular application in the country.
Aadhaar card has popularized significantly over the past year, with government implies law like linking aadhaar card with PAN card, Bank Accounts and mobile number etc, aadhaar download has become a crucial part of our life. Today, an Indian citizen needs aadhaar card for pretty much everything, be it for getting a passport, buying a new house or for getting a new job. People have accepted aadhaar card to be the standard identity proof in the country.
Aadhaar card users can download M-aadhaar by going to the Google PlayStore in their Smartphone.
Step 1: Users needs to ensure to link his/her phone to a stable internet of wifi connection and then download the app from the playstore.
Step 2: Once M-Aadhaar download is done, users need to open the application, and set a password for their account. Note to remember this password as it will be required whenever you will use the application.
Step 3: Now the app will request the users to submit their aadhaar card number in the application. Users can also scan their aadhaar card’s barcode to link their M-aadhaar account with their aadhaar card number.
Step 4: Now to verify the user information, the app will send a one-time password (OTP) on the mobile number which has been registered with the respective aadhaar card number, that the user has previously submitted on the application. So, make sure that your aadhaar card number is linked to your aadhaar card else you won’t be able to use this app.
Step 5: Once the user has successfully entered the correct OTP, he/she will be able to their M-Aadhaar download profile, with their aadhaar number. Note in order to unlock the full details of your aadhaar card on the app like your address etc, user will have to enter their password again.
Recently m-Aadhaar was also accepted by Ministry of Railways, to be used as an identity proof by the travelers for any reserved class. They would see m-aadhaar as a proof of identity in the trains now.
M-Aadhaar was launched this year back in July. The application allows users to carry their aadhaar card in their mobile in a digitalized form, which contains their demographical details like their name, address, date of birth, gender, and photograph, which is linked the card.
Applicants can access their aadhaar card and make adhar download anytime anywhere using this app. And the stats over the last two month showcase the popularity of this app. This is an amazing technique launched by the government to ensure that users are not bothered by the mandatory rules and regulations that are being implemented regarding aadhaar as they are able to access it anytime.
